Floral brass findings, paired with Soviet-era Russian watch faces. The watch brand is Chaika/ Чайка (meaning seagull). The brand was named to honor Valentina Tereshkova, the first female cosmonaut; her callsign was Seagull. The first (and youngest) woman in space, she remains the only woman to have flown a solo space mission. She flew a three-day mission on the Vostok 6 on June 16, 1963, and orbited Earth 48 times. Tereshkova is now a member of the Russian Duma.
